There are 3 main uses for industrial hemp: producing fiber, seeds, or cannabinoids (CBD, CBG, CBN)
– Growing industrial hemp for fiber: tall plant strains that grow long, thick stalks, harvested for hemp fibers to make ropes and fabrics
– Growing industrial hemp for seeds: grow lots of closely packed plants for pollinated flowers packed with seeds, used to create hemp oil, hemp hearts, and hemp protein powder
– Growing industrial hemp for cannabinoids: unpollinated female plants with large dense flowers and few to no seeds, harvested for oils high in cannabinoids (CBD, CBN, etc.)
– Hemp grown for cannabinoids can look and smell like a marijuana plant, but does not have the intoxicating effects and can be legally grown in the United States where allowed by law
